Language & Culture Coaching Student Guidelines

Student Guidelines

Attendance

Students who sign up for coaching must attend the sessions that they sign up for. If your availability changes or if you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please follow the guidelines below.

  • Canceling or Rescheduling a Session - If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must let IAE staff AND your coach know at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. You can do this in person or via email. Please specify whether you would like to cancel or reschedule. We may not be able to accommodate all requests for rescheduling depending on availability, but we prefer to reschedule sessions rather than cancel them. Students with excessive cancellations or rescheduling requests may not be permitted to continue participation in the program.
  • Late Cancellations or Rescheduling Requests - If you make a request to cancel or reschedule your session with less than a 24-hour notice, your request will be recorded as late. Students with more than one late cancelation or rescheduling request may not be permitted to continue participation in the program.
  • No Shows - If you fail to attend a session without notifying IAE staff and your coach, this will be recorded as a "no show". Students with a "no show" may not be permitted to continue participation in the program.
  • Availability Changes - If your availability changes during the quarter (for example, you need to change your sessions from Tuesdays to Thursdays), you must let IAE staff AND your coach know at least 24 hours before your next scheduled session. We will attempt to accommodate your new availability.

Conduct

All student participants must follow the UC Davis Office of Student Support & Judicial Affairs Student Conduct Standards.
