Mzamo Shozi graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and University of South Africa. He is an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Shozi is skilled in Leadership, Public Engagement, Lecturing and Writing of research proposals. He is the Director of the Applied Chemistry programme at UKZN, specializing in Catalysis and Organometallic chemistry. Shozi is the principal investigator of biomass conversion in the Catalysis Research Group at UKZN. He is the recipient of the National Research Foundation Thuthuka and KIC grants, and most recently the recipient of the Fulbright Research Scholarship 2018/2019.
