Andiswa Nyongwana has more than five years of experience in agriculture, water security and climate finance. Currently, Andiswa is a water professional at Global Water Partnership Southern Africa, focusing on mobilizing climate finance to build climate resilience in the water sector in the Southern African Development Community countries. Andiswa also runs a non-governmental organization that connects youth from disadvantaged communities with socioeconomic opportunities, and she is co-founder of the South African Youth Parliament for Water. She holds a master's degree in climate change, agriculture and food security. She is passionate about helping people and supporting vulnerable communities to be climate resilient. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Andiswa plans to continue supporting communities to build their climate resilience in Africa and to expand the work of her organization.
