Ignition Grants

UC Davis is pleased to partner with the University of Sydney on a series of “Ignition Grants” (up to $32,000 per project) to promote research collaboration between the two institutions. Applications require at least one PI from each university and will be submitted by the University of Sydney PI.

Apply to Teach a First-Year Seminar, Global Learning

First-Year Seminars allow instructors to explore their intellectual interests in a small class format while promoting intellectual exchange, critical thinking and community. Global Learning seminars enable students to explore cultural diversity and learn about global challenges and how they are addressed while developing awareness and critical thinking skills that will help them thrive in an interconnected world. The instructor of record is eligible for an academic enrichment fund allocation of $2,500 for a one-unit course and $3,000 for two units.

KU Leuven Global Seed Fund KU Leuven

The KU Leuven Global Seed Fund fosters new and deepened collaborations with partners like UC Davis. Explore the website for call specifics, access the research portal to connect with KU Leuven researchers in key areas, and note that proposals require submission by KU Leuven researchers.

2025 Seed Funding Opportunity for Mobilities to Mexico

The 2025 Seed Funding Opportunity for Mobilities to Mexico is open for proposal submissions. It supports UC campuses in enhancing student mobility to Mexico with up to $50,000 per campus. Eligible activities include faculty-led programs, capstone projects and field research.
Deadline: September 27, 2024

China-U.S. Scholars Program Grants for Conference Participation and Research Travel

Open to scholars and students in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Conference presentations and research travel should relate to China studies and/or China-U.S. relations. Citizens and permanent residents of China, Hong Kong SAR and the United States can apply.
