Engaging with Sustainable Development Goals
Committed to solving some of today’s most pressing challenges—locally and globally—UC Davis actively engages in contributing towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a set of ambitious goals, targets and indicators adopted by all UN member states in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The SDGs directly support UC Davis commitments to engaging partners around the world, promoting environmental sustainability, embracing a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and solving local and global challenges through research, teaching and innovation.

Membership in these networks signify UC Davis’ commitment to solving some of today’s most pressing challenges—near and far. The networks also generate opportunities for matching the expertise at UC Davis with funding, partnerships and collaborations.
UN Academic Impact

UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network
The U.S. Chapter of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN USA), housed at Columbia University, is mobilizing colleges, universities, and other leading research institutions in contributing to the UN SDGs in the U.S.
University Global Coalition
The University Global Coalition (UGC) is a global platform of universities and other higher education organizations committed to working together and in partnership with the UN, SDSN, and other organizations, in support of the SDGs both locally and globally through our education, research and service missions.
